Nantucket Island Events had a busy June and a lot of our time was spent at private home weddings. It provides such a personable feel for guests when they can see where families vacation summer after summer. Carlyn’s parent’s home was a gorgeous location with so much family history and memories surrounding it. Adding “wedding day” to the list of memories was just the cherry on top!

The home was full of love when Carlyn and Sam said “I do”. A ceremony under a gorgeous tree, lead them to a cocktail hour before heading to the backyard where a gorgeous Sperry Tent awaited them. Flowers on Chestnut’s beautiful floral design enhanced the perfect landscape and scenery the grounds provided. The whimsical colors and variety of flowers fit perfectly in the outdoor setting.

The night was one to remember, with personal details in every aspect of the celebration. Sam is an ammeter racer so both families have been spending their weekends at the tracks for years and we wanted to incorporate that into the wedding. The centerpiece for each table displayed a beautiful custom wooden outline of different tracks Sam has raced. It was a fun way to show everyone what Sam and Carlyn love. Nantucket Catering Company displayed an epic tuscan station complete with prosciutto carving and dinner was served family style. They finished the night off with homemade fruit pies accompanied by assorted after dinner drinks. Bryan George Music, a friend of Sam’s, came from Washington DC to get the party started. The entire weekend was one filled with love and laughter that we feel so lucky to have been a part of!
